"An idea whose time has come!" 2008-11-05
By D. Gealey (Fort Bragg, CA USA)
We purchased this water heater to feed a couple of sinks, and it works great! It is not a high-demand heater, so it gets water pretty hot if you don't have a high flow rate. Best of all, it only uses energy when it's on-the heater switches itself on with demand. This one requires 240 volts and 30 amps, although it will run with less power with less heat. Bosch units appear to be very dependable.

"Great Little Water Heater" 2010-05-03
By Brandon E. Grubbs (Southeast,USA)
We've experienced a flawless install and operation from our Stiebel Eltron. Unlimited hot water and lower electric bills are the two big positives for this appliance, but I also like that it's about the size of a picture frame hanging on the wall and opened up a lot of space in our utility room when we replaced our old tank water heater.Only thing to keep in mind is that this is not a drop in replacement for an existing tank water heater. We had to have an electrician come out and wire up a 60 Amp 6 gauge wire from the breaker box to the water heater for a nominal fee (about $200), other than that the plumbing and mounting was super easy, both of which I did myself in about an hour's time (thanks to Gatorbite plumbing fixtures). We are really enjoying the Stiebel Eltron and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for an electric tankless water heater.
